GA NERO LARP Park Plans

The LARP Park finished stage 1 in December 2009.

• We cleared the majority of the shrubs and low hanging braches off the property. This took dozens of days of work by Joseph, Diane and a half dozen volunteers (thank you!)..

• On March 16, 2010 we pulled out the last of the garbage from within the dry creek (it gets plenty of water when it rains). In total we removed about 60 large contractor bags of garbage.

• We have removed all of the 70 95-LB Truck Tires and 12 Car Tires from the creek.

• We have placed a tree across the dry creek, 20’ long, and are  working to secure it so people can walk across it. This need more work too, like centering and tying it down, as well as placing a brace at its center to stop it from bouncing, but we think it might get completed by October 21, 2009.

• We emptied, cleaned and painted the Yellow School Bus (Thank You Alex Lutz), converting it into a 28 foot long by 7.5 feet wide by 6.5 feet tall Medieval Tavern complete with tables, sitting stools and booths, and standing areas. The Tavern/Bus needs more work, like adding an awning and wood branches on its sides to hide the metal or painting it with black lines to make it look like rock, or both. The Bus-Tavern will be used until we build a building to replace it. This will provide protection from the Rain when it rears its ugly head.

• We burned all of the miscellaneous dead trees and branches that were removed. Fire Pile Burning starts October 01, 2009. We burned for 4 days straight, 8 hours a day.

The LARP Park has entered stage 2.
Dates: January 2010 to December 2010

• Hang a Rope from a Tree so that we can swing across the creek.
• Build lean-to like structures at the 2 mid-creek encounter areas.
• Build a Pirate Ship in the Dry Creek.
• Start holding Sword Fighting Practice days on Saturday 2pm.
• Begin Producing 3-Hour Adventure Modules.
• Produce NERO LARP Events.
• Rent The site To LARP groups
• Rent the facility to Reenactment groups.
• Establish a Sword Fighting League
• Install a Maze
• Build a Swimming Pool in part of the Creek.
• Build a Tire Wall and a Pressure Treated Timber Wall to separate the lower and middle creeks areas.
• Learn to Sword Fight ages 13 to 17
